This trial is studying the side effects and best dosage of two drugs, pazopanib hydrochloride and bevacizumab, to treat patients with metastatic kidney cancer that has not been previously treated. Pazopanib hydrochloride may stop the growth of tumor cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth and by blocking blood flow to the tumor.
