Behavioral Intervention
Interpersonal Psychotherapy for Alcoholism
Recruiting1 award
New York, New York
This trial will study whether an adapted version of interpersonal psychotherapy (IPT) is an effective treatment for alcohol use disorder (AUD) in gender minority (GM) individuals. GM individuals experience disproportionately high rates of hazardous drinking and AUD, and there are no evidence-based alcohol interventions for this population. The study will use mixed-methods formative research with an established multi-site longitudinal GM cohort to develop and assess the feasibility of the adapted IPT intervention.
