Tramadol

The Generic name of this drug

Treatment Summary

Tramadol is a medication used to treat moderate to severe pain. It is a synthetic opioid that is structurally related to codeine and morphine. Tramadol is different from other traditional opioid medications because it works on multiple pathways in the body to help reduce pain. It affects the μ-opioid receptor, serotonin and norepinephrine to activate pathways that reduce pain. Tramadol can be used to treat a variety of pain types, including neuropathic pain, post-operative pain, lower back pain, labour pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia, and cancer pain. Effectiveness

How Conzip Affects Patients

Tramadol is a painkiller that works by blocking pain signals in the brain and spinal cord. Common side effects include dizziness, sleepiness, nausea, constipation, sweating, and itching. It has no effect on heart rate or left-ventricular function, but can cause respiratory depression, coughing, and pinpoint pupils. Seizures and serotonin syndrome have been reported with tramadol use, so it should be used with caution. It can also cause changes in hormones and very rarely cause hyponatremia. Tramadol can also lower blood pressure and should be used with caution in those with low blood volume

How Conzip works in the body

Tramadol is a pain reliever that works in several different ways. It binds to mu-opioid receptors in the brain, which are the same receptors that respond to morphine and codeine. This makes it effective in blocking pain signals. Tramadol also acts on serotonin and norepinephrine receptors, which helps to reduce pain. Its primary metabolite M1 is even more powerful in blocking pain signals. Finally, tramadol affects a number of other receptors and molecules involved in the pain response, including alpha2-adrenoreceptors, neurokinin 1 receptors, the voltage-gated sodium channel
