Supprelin La Toxicity & Overdose RiskAnimal studies have shown that taking up to 200mcg/kg (rats and rabbits) or 2000mcg/kg (mice) of histrelin acetate is safe and does not cause systemic toxicity. This amount is much higher than the recommended human dose of 10mcg/kg/day. Clinical trials of histrelin products have not reported any overdose cases. Histrelin products are usually administered using implants that release a constant dose, so accidental or intentional overdose is unlikely.
