Tranexamic Acid
for Blood Cancer Patients Undergoing Stem Cell Transplant
It is hypothesized that a strategy using prophylactic oral and intravenous Tranexamic Acid (TXA) with therapeutic platelet transfusions (if required) is safe and more effective than prophylactic platelet transfusions in patients undergoing an autologous hematopoietic stem cell transplantation (ASCT).

for Leukemia
This phase I trial studies the side effects and best dose of TAK-243 in treating patients with acute myeloid leukemia or myelodysplastic syndromes with increased blasts that has come back (relapsed) or that is not responding to treatment (refractory). TAK-243 may stop the growth of cancer cells by blocking some of the enzymes needed for cell growth.
