Trial Summary

What is the purpose of this trial?This trial aims to find out if a diluted numbing injection is less painful and more effective than a non-diluted one for people having upper eyelid surgery. Patients will receive both types of injections in different eyelids and rate their pain. The results will help determine the best numbing method for this procedure.

Eligibility Criteria

This trial is for adults over 18 who need both upper eyelids operated on for the first time. They must agree to follow the study rules. People with cancer, different surgeries on each eye, previous eyelid surgery, or legal health issues can't join. Pregnant individuals or those planning pregnancy during the trial are also excluded.

Inclusion Criteria

I am 18 or older and having surgery on both upper eyelids.
Consent and compliance with all aspects of the study protocol

Exclusion Criteria

I am scheduled for an upper eyelid lift and have had previous eyelid surgery.
I am having surgery on one side of my body.
I currently have cancer that is either localized or has spread.

Participant Groups

The study tests two strengths of a numbing medicine (lidocaine with epinephrine) in patients having upper eyelid surgery. It aims to find out which concentration hurts less when injected and works better at controlling pain during the operation.
