What is the purpose of this trial?

The purpose of this study is to investigate orthopedic patients undergoing either a total hip replacement (THR) or total knee arthroplasty (TKR) using two dietary supplements, PREPARE and RECOVER, and their recovery times post-surgery.

Eligibility Criteria

This trial is for adults aged 45-80 undergoing hip or knee replacement surgery, who are not morbidly obese and don't have osteoporosis, serious illnesses, or chronic diseases affecting bone metabolism. Participants must be willing to take dietary supplements and should not have had major surgery within six weeks prior.

Inclusion Criteria

My joint replacement surgery is not a correction of a previous one.

I do not have a chronic disease affecting my bones or calcium levels.

It has been over 6 weeks since my major surgery or 3 weeks since a minor one.

Exclusion Criteria

I have a chronic condition that affects my calcium or bone health.

I am having surgery to revise a past joint replacement.

My BMI is over 43.

Interventions

Nirvana Super Pro Liquid Supplements (Dietary Supplement)

Trial OverviewThe study compares recovery times post-surgery between two groups: one taking Nirvana Super Pro Liquid Supplements named PREPARE and RECOVER, and a control group that does not receive supplementation. The focus is on patients having total hip or knee replacements.
