Study Summary

This triallooks at how a special type of lighting can improve sleep, thinking, and alertness for people working from home.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults who work from home during the day, don't use light therapy or special glasses, aren't pregnant, have good sleep quality and normal color vision. They shouldn't be planning any travel during the study and must be in good health without extreme sleeping patterns.Check my eligibility
What is being tested?
The study tests a biodynamic lighting system designed to improve sleep, cognitive function, and alertness in home office workers by changing light intensity and colors throughout the workday according to a set schedule.See study design
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves lighting interventions rather than medication or invasive procedures, side effects are minimal but may include discomfort with changes in lighting or potential eye strain.

Study Objectives

Outcome measures can provide a clearer picture of what you can expect from a treatment.
Primary outcome measures
Change in Balloon Analogue Risk Task (BART) score
Change in Nocturnal Sleep Duration (in minutes) as measured by actigraphy
Change in Percent Sleep Efficiency (total sleep time divided by time in bed) measured by actigraphy
+5 more
Secondary outcome measures
Change in complex scanning and visual tracking: score on Digit Symbol Substitution Task (DSST)
Change in measure of abstraction: score on abstract matching test
Change in motor speed as assessed by Motor Praxis Task
+1 more
