Summary

This trial compares a special laser treatment and an estrogen cream for treating frequent UTIs in postmenopausal women. The laser rejuvenates vaginal tissue and improves bacterial balance, while the estrogen cream restores hormone levels to improve tissue health. Estrogen has been used for many years to treat lower urinary tract dysfunction in postmenopausal women, with vaginal estrogen preparations showing some efficacy in preventing recurrent urinary tract infections.
