What You Need to Know Before You Apply

What is the purpose of this trial?

This trial explores new imaging methods to observe brain function, focusing on electrical signals. It aims to enhance the diagnosis of brain issues by improving the understanding of brain activity. Healthy volunteers or individuals who have undergone a brain biopsy or surgery for a glioma (a type of brain tumor) may qualify. Participants will complete a survey and undergo an MRI scan as part of the study. As an unphased trial, this study provides a unique opportunity to contribute to groundbreaking research that could improve diagnostic techniques for brain conditions.

Why are researchers excited about this trial?

Researchers are excited about this trial because it explores the brain's electrical properties using MRI technology, which could uncover new insights into how the brain functions. Unlike traditional methods that often focus on chemical imbalances or structural abnormalities, this approach seeks to map electrical activity directly. By understanding these electrical properties, scientists hope to develop more precise diagnostic tools and potentially pave the way for innovative treatments for neurological conditions. This trial represents a step forward in unraveling the complexities of the brain's electrical network.
