Summary

This trialwill compare 4 different kinds of mindfulness practices to learn which one is best for treating anxiety, depression, and pain.

Who is the study for?
This trial is for adults over 18 who speak English well enough to follow study procedures and are seeking treatment at the Huntsman Cancer Institute's Wellness Center. It's not for those with unstable illnesses or cognitive impairments that could interfere with participation.
What is being tested?
The trial compares four types of short, audio-guided mindfulness practices in a clinic waiting room against an audio about integrative healthcare. The goal is to see which method best helps patients with cancer-related symptoms like anxiety and pain.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves non-invasive mindfulness exercises, there aren't typical medical side effects. However, participants may experience emotional discomfort if they find focusing on their present experiences challenging.
