This trial is testing two different treatment combinations for patients with extensive-stage small cell lung cancer who have not received any prior treatment. One group will receive a new drug called Serplulimab along with standard chemotherapy, while the other group will receive an existing drug called Atezolizumab with the same chemotherapy. This is a multicentre, randomised, double-blind (DB), parallel-group, placebo-controlled, 24-week Phase III study to compare the efficacy and safety of benralizumab versus placebo administered by SC injection Q4W in patients with hypereosinophilic syndrome (HES). This study comprises 2 distinct periods (together defined as the 'main study'): A 24-week, DB treatment period, during which patients will be randomised to receive either benralizumab or placebo, in addition to their prior stable HES background therapy, and an open-label extension (OLE) period, during which all patients will receive benralizumab. The primary database lock (DBL) will occur when approximately 38 patients have had their first HES worsening/flare event during the DB treatment period and all randomised patients have had the opportunity to be followed up for the 24-week DB treatment period. A patient must complete the 24-week DB treatment period on investigational product (IP) to be eligible to enter the OLE treatment period. The final DBL will occur after the last patient completes the OLE.

This phase III trial studies how well pafolacianine works for identifying cancerous lesions in children and adolescent patients with primary solid tumors or solid tumors that have spread from where they first started (primary site) to other places in the body (metastatic). Pafolacianine is a fluorescent imaging agent that targets folate receptors which are overexpressed in many cancers and is used with near infrared (NIR) imaging during surgery to identify tumor cells. NIR uses a special camera that uses wavelengths in the infrared range to visualize and locate the tumor cells that are lit up by the pafolacianine. Giving pafolacianine for NIR imaging may work better than other imaging agents in identifying cancerous lesions in pediatric patients with solid tumors.

BI 1291583 for Bronchiectasis

This study is open to adults with bronchiectasis. People can participate in this study if they produce sputum and have had flare-ups (also called exacerbations). The purpose of this study is to find out whether a medicine called BI 1291583 helps people with bronchiectasis. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. One group takes BI 1291583 tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. A placebo tablet looks like the BI 1291583 tablet but does not contain any medicine. Participants take 1 tablet once a day for up to 1 year and 6 months. Participants are in the study for up to 1 year and 8 months. During this time, participants visit the study site up to 10 times and get about 13 phone calls from the site staff. Participants complete a daily diary on a smartphone about their bronchiectasis symptoms and study doctors regularly check for any changes. The study doctors document when participants experience flare-ups. The number of flare-ups is compared between the participants who receive BI 1291583 and those who receive the placebo. The study doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

Adults 18 years of age and older or above legal age with lung fibrosis related to systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease can participate in this study. People can only take part if they show no improvement in lung function after standard treatment with immunosuppressant medicine. The main purpose of this study is to find out how a medicine called nerandomilast affects the lungs in people with systemic autoimmune rheumatic disease. Participants are put into 2 groups randomly, which means by chance. One group takes nerandomilast tablets and the other group takes placebo tablets. Placebo tablets look like nerandomilast tablets but do not contain any medicine. Participants take a tablet 2 times a day for 26 weeks. Participants continue immunosuppressant treatment for their underlying rheumatic disease. Participants are in the study for about 7.5 months. During this time, they visit the study site 8 times. At study visits, participants have lung function tests. At select visits, chest imaging is performed. Participants fill in questionnaires about their symptoms and quality of life. The results between the 2 groups are compared to see whether the treatment works. The doctors also regularly check participants' health and take note of any unwanted effects.

CardiolRx for Pericarditis

Multi-center, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, phase-3 Trial. Patients with a history of recurrent pericarditis who are being treated with an IL-1 blocker for at least 12 months, scheduled to be discontinued, will be approached for potential trial participation. Double-blind treatment will be initiated 10 - 14 days prior to the last scheduled dose of the IL-1 blocker and continued for 24 weeks. The objective is to assess whether patients who discontinue therapy with an IL-1 blocker for recurrent pericarditis remain free of pericarditis recurrence while receiving CardiolRx.

The goal of this clinical trial is to learn if ASP-1929 photoimmunotherapy (PIT) in combination with pembrolizumab works to treat recurrent squamous cell cancer of the head and neck (HNSCC) with no distant metastases. It will also learn about the safety of ASP-1929 PIT in combination with pembrolizumab. Researchers will compare ASP-1929 PIT in combination with pembrolizumab to pembrolizumab alone or pembrolizumab plus chemotherapy (carboplatin or cisplatin, plus 5-fluorouracil or paclitaxel or docetaxel) according to physician's choice (control arm). The overall primary study hypothesis being tested is whether ASP-1929 PIT plus pembrolizumab combination treatment improves the overall survival (OS) of the population defined by the inclusion/exclusion criteria over the control arm.

Low Dose Tamoxifen for Breast Cancer

This phase III trial compares the effect of low dose tamoxifen to usual hormonal therapy, including aromatase inhibitors, in treating post-menopausal women with hormone positive, HER2 negative early stage breast cancer. Tamoxifen is in a class of medications known as antiestrogens. It blocks the activity of estrogen (a female hormone) in the breast. This may stop the growth of some breast tumors that need estrogen to grow. Aromatase inhibitors, such as anastrozole, letrozole, and exemestane, prevent the formation of estradiol, a female hormone, by interfering with an aromatase enzyme. Aromatase inhibitors are used as a type of hormone therapy to treat postmenopausal women with hormone-dependent breast cancer. Giving low dose tamoxifen may be more effective compared to usual hormone therapy in treating post-menopausal women with hormone-positive, HER2 negative early stage breast cancer.

This phase III trial compares standard therapy given after surgery (adjuvant) to standard therapy given before and after surgery (perioperative) in treating patients with stage II-IIIB non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) that can be removed by surgery (resectable). The usual approach for patients with resectable NSCLC is chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy before surgery, after surgery, or both before and after surgery. This study is being done to find out which approach is better at treating patients with lung cancer. Treatment will be administered according to the current standard of care at the time of enrollment. Chemotherapy options may include cisplatin, carboplatin, pemetrexed, gemcitabine, docetaxel, and vinorelbine at standard doses according to the treating physician. Cisplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works by killing, stopping or slowing the growth of tumor cells. Carboplatin is in a class of medications known as platinum-containing compounds. It works in a way similar to the anticancer drug cisplatin, but may be better tolerated than cisplatin. Carboplatin works by killing, stopping or slowing the growth of tumor cells. Pemetrexed is in a class of medications called antifolate antineoplastic agents. It works by stopping cells from using folic acid to make deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and may kill tumor cells. Gemcitabine is a chemotherapy drug that blocks the cells from making DNA and may kill tumor cells. Docetaxel is in a class of medications called taxanes. It stops tumor cells from growing and dividing and may kill them. Other chemotherapy drugs, such as vinorelbine, work in different ways to stop the growth of tumor cells, either by killing the cells, by stopping them from dividing, or by stopping them from spreading . Immunotherapy with monoclonal antibodies, such as nivolumab, pembrolizumab, and atezolizumab, may help the body's immune system attack the tumor, and may interfere with the ability of tumor cells to grow and spread. Starting treatment with chemotherapy and immunotherapy prior to surgery and continuing treatment after surgery may be a more effective treatment option than adjuvant therapy alone in patients with stage II-IIIB resectable NSCLC.
