How Monistat 7 Combination Pack Affects PatientsMiconazole is a type of medicine used to treat fungal infections. It works by blocking a certain enzyme in the body. When applied topically, it is not usually absorbed into the bloodstream so side effects are usually limited to allergies or anaphylaxis. Patients using intravaginal miconazole products should not use tampons at the same time and should not rely on contraception to prevent pregnancy or sexually transmitted diseases.
How Monistat 7 Combination Pack works in the bodyMiconazole works in 3 ways to fight fungal infections caused by Candida. It stops the production of a molecule called ergosterol, which is necessary for cell membrane formation and permeability. It also increases the production of reactive oxygen species, which can lead to cell death. Finally, it increases the levels of farnesol, which helps stop the formation of biofilms and prevents the fungus from becoming drug resistant.

9/8/2022 I was initially scared to use Monistat 7 after reading some reviews, but it honestly wasn't that bad. Yes, there was a burning sensation for the first 20 minutes or so; however, this is normal. The itching was pretty bad for about 30 minutes to an hour, but ice packs helped a lot with that. I'm on day 5 now and my symptoms are almost gone.
