Who is the study for?
This trial is for Hispanic/Latino children and adolescents with cancer who are recovering from surgery. It's designed to help those who speak Spanish, English, or both. The goal is to test an app that could make it easier for them to communicate their pain levels in hospitals.
What is being tested?
The study is testing a mobile augmented reality (AR) app that helps assess pain, nausea, and vomiting in pediatric cancer patients post-surgery. This bilingual tool aims to improve care by bridging language barriers between patients and healthcare providers.
What are the potential side effects?
Since the intervention involves using an AR app for communication rather than a drug or medical procedure, there are no direct physical side effects expected from this technology.
