Effectiveness

How Gastrografin Affects PatientsDiatrizoate is a type of drug that helps doctors diagnose medical conditions. It is made of iodine, which blocks x-rays, and when given to a patient it builds up in certain areas of the body. The x-ray film will show these areas as white, which helps doctors see if there are any special conditions in those areas.
How Gastrografin works in the bodyDiatrizoate is a type of X-ray contrast agent that contains iodine. The iodine makes the X-ray contrast more visible, so doctors can better see what's happening inside the body. It's a clear, colorless water solution that's safe to use almost anywhere in the body. It's often injected into a vein, but it can also be used in other areas like the spine, arteries, and abdomen.

When to interrupt dosage

The recommended dosage of Gastrografin is contingent upon the ascertained disorder, like Arteriography, angiogram and Gastrointestinal and abdominal imaging procedures. The dosage quantity varies as per the technique of administration recorded in the table below.
