Trial Summary
What is the purpose of this trial? This trial is testing whether applying heat to the thigh muscles using a rice-filled sock can help reduce pain in patients who have had knee replacement surgery. These patients often suffer from pain and stiffness, and current treatments can have side effects like addiction. The heat is believed to work by relaxing the muscles and improving blood flow. Local heat application is used as a non-drug practice for the treatment of knee osteoarthritis.
