Effectiveness

How Mentax Affects PatientsButenafine is an antifungal medicine used to treat infections caused by fungi. It works by making the cell walls of fungi more permeable, which stops the fungi from growing and spreading. It is particularly effective against dermatophytes, Candida albicans, Cryptococcus neoformans, and Aspergillus spp. It is more effective than other antifungal medicines like terbinafine, naftifine, tolnaftate, clotrimazole, and bifonazole.
How Mentax works in the bodyButenafine works by blocking the production of ergosterol, a type of cholesterol found in fungal cells. This blockage results in increased permeability of the fungal cell membrane, leading to the leakage of cellular contents. Butenafine also causes an accumulation of squalene, which is thought to directly kill fungal cells.

Mentax for Athlete's Foot
While this drug did offer temporary relief for my athlete's foot, the problem always came back. I even changed my socks every day and bought new shoes, but nothing seemed to work long term. I'll be switching to a different prescription soon.
