Effectiveness

How Natazia Affects PatientsEstrogen has powerful effects on the body, and works by attaching to certain receptors in the breasts, uterus, ovaries, skin, prostate, bone, fat and brain. These receptors are known as Estrogen Receptor Alpha (ERα) and Estrogen Receptor Beta (ERβ). Estrogen also attaches to a newly recognized receptor called G Protein-coupled Estrogen Receptor (GPER), which is responsible for its fast-acting effects.
How Natazia works in the bodyEstradiol is a hormone that binds to receptors in certain cells and organs, such as the female reproductive organs and breasts. When it binds to these receptors, it triggers the production of certain proteins. These proteins help to regulate processes like the production of other hormones and sex-binding proteins. This process helps to reverse some of the symptoms of menopause, which are caused by a decrease in estrogen.

Natazia for Abnormally Long or Heavy Periods
This pill has been great for me. I was on Yasmin for three years and made the switch to this one. So far, I've lost weight and find that it's much more accurate than the last pill I was taking. Plus, I get my period on the first placebo pill with no cramping!

Natazia for Birth Control
I've tried a lot of different birth controls, and this is by far the best one I've used. There are no negative side effects like there are with other hormone-based options.

Natazia for Birth Control
Prior to taking Natazia, I was on Junel Fe. Unfortunately, that led to me having really bad yeast infections and BV. Thankfully, my gyno switched me over to this medication and I haven't had any problems since! Not only that, but I also don't get my period anymore. This has been a total life-saver for me.

Natazia for Disease of Ovaries with Cysts
This small pill has made a big difference in my life. My periods used to last for 10 days and be very painful, with migraines, but now they only last for 2 days (sometimes even less) and the cramps are much less severe. I haven't had any major side effects either, which is great.

Natazia for Abnormally Long or Heavy Periods
I cannot recommend this BC enough. It has completely changed my life for the better by essentially getting rid of my period. I also don't have to worry about any mood swings, cramps, weight gain, or side effects.

Natazia for Birth Control
I've been using Natazia for a little over two years now and it's helped me out a lot. Not only did it help clear up my acne, but I also haven't gotten pregnant while using it. The downside is that it made me gain fifteen pounds and my breasts went up one or two sizes (C-D/DD), but the positives outweigh the negatives in my opinion.

Natazia for Birth Control
Good birth control pill, though it did cause some vaginal dryness. I only experienced this on the days when I was taking the two white pills. Another issue I had was that, if I missed a pill, I would lightly bleed for nine days straight. This happened to me twice. Luckily, I haven't had any problems since then because I am very good about taking them as prescribed. Additionally, my sex drive decreased slightly during the second and third week of taking this medication.

I've lost 13 pounds in the two months since I started taking Natazia.

Natazia for Abnormally Long or Heavy Periods
Since I started taking Natazia, my periods have been lighter and shorter. However, I've gained 40lbs, have a headache every day, mood swings and low sex drive. After I complete this pack, I will change. Emotionally, I feel as if I have lost control and the headaches takes away from my quality of life--in addition to the other issues mentioned.

What is Natazia generic for?

"If you have any of these side effects while taking Natazia, stop taking the drug and call your doctor immediately: irregular or light menstrual periods, nausea (especially when you first start taking Natazia), vomiting, breast pain/tenderness/enlargement, stomach cramping or bloating, freckles or darkening of facial skin, weight gain, problems with contact lenses."

Lidocaine Infusions for Postoperative Pain

18+
All Sexes
Nashville, TN
The goal of this single-center, pragmatic, randomized, blinded, placebo-controlled trial is to evaluate the impact of intravenous (IV) lidocaine within the existing Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS)program on outcomes in patients after major abdominal surgery. The main questions the trial aims to answer are: The primary hypothesis is that utilization of IV lidocaine as part of a perioperative multimodal pain regimen will result in a reduction in hospital Case Mix Index-Adjusted Resource Length of Stay (CARLOS). The secondary hypotheses are that lidocaine infusion will result in a reduction in total inpatient opioid consumption (oral morphine milligram equivalents, oMMEs) and pain scores, and improved surgical outcomes (including return of bowel function, ileus, nausea, rapid responses called, surgical site infections, and ICU transfers), while also having minimal incidence of side effects (including double/blurry vision, tinnitus, sedation, and adverse events requiring early cessation).

Guided Imagery Therapy for Abdominal Pain

7 - 12
All Sexes
Austin, TX
Chronic abdominal pain is common among children, and the majority of cases are attributed to functional abdominal pain disorders. One approach to treating these disorders is by using psychological therapies. This clinical trial aims to see how well pre-recorded guided imagery therapy sessions help children's abdominal pain when delivered via a mobile application (app) on a smartphone or tablet. Participants will complete a baseline abdominal pain and stooling diary to determine eligibility, as well as other surveys. Eligible participants will be given access to the guided imagery therapy mobile application. This intervention asks participants to listen to a 10- to 15-minute GIT session 5 out of 7 days per week for 8 weeks, in addition to their usual care for their abdominal pain. Then, participants will complete another abdominal pain and stooling diary, along with other psychometric surveys, at the end of this intervention period. Participants will also collect another diary and surveys 3 months post-treatment.

Ketamine for Pelvic Pain

18 - 89
Female
Cleveland, OH
The purpose of this research study is to see if ketamine infusion during surgery can decrease pain after surgery. Ketamine is a medication commonly used as part of anesthesia during surgery and is approved by the US FDA. Patients will be randomized to either receive standard anesthesia with OR without ketamine. The surgical procedure will be the same regardless of which group patients are randomized to. After surgery, patients will be asked to rate their pain in the post-operative observation unit and at their two-week post-operative visit. No additional visits are required for participation in this study. The investigators estimate the surveys will take approximately 10 minutes to complete.

Erector Spinae Plane Block for Pain

21 - 75
All Sexes
Cleveland, OH
As per usual care for spine surgery, participants will have their back cleaned with alcohol and a needle will be placed using ultrasound for the ESP block. Through the needle, a small catheter will be placed in the participants back and the needle removed. Approximately one hour prior to the start of surgery, a numbing medication (ropivacaine, similar to Novocaine) in combination with dexmedetomidine (a pain medicine that is used in nerve block and that is not a narcotic) and contrast dye (iohexol) will be injected through the catheter. Participants will then go through the QST procedure (test of buzzing sensation and temperature sensation through pads applied to their skin) to assess the numb areas and then head to the operating room. In the operating room, the catheter will be removed after the surgeon obtains baseline CT scan images of the spine. Once surgery is completed, investigators will record pain scores over the next four days in the hospital and the amount of pain medication needed for controlling pain related to the surgery.
