Trial Summary

What is the purpose of this trial?Falls are common and catastrophic in cancer patients. Cancer patients are vulnerable to falls due to muscle loss. In prescribing exercise in a data driven manner to cancer patients, our hypothesis is this "prescription" for exercise will eventually be demonstrated to reduce the occurrence of injurious falls.

Eligibility Criteria

This trial is for cancer patients, except those with non-melanoma skin cancer. Participants should be able to exercise without restrictions like unstable heart conditions or loss of a limb that would make exercising difficult.

Inclusion Criteria

I have been diagnosed with cancer, other than non-melanoma skin cancer.

Exclusion Criteria

I have unstable chest pain.
I have been diagnosed with a type of skin cancer that is not melanoma.

Participant Groups

The study tests an 'exercise prescription' approach using tools like a Perturbation Treadmill, Pedometer, and Actigraph to see if it can reduce falls in high-risk cancer patients by improving muscle strength.
