Eligibility Criteria:
This trial includes the following eligibility criteria:- You were born with cataracts in your eyes.You have macular degeneration, a condition that affects the central part of your vision.The surgeon has identified other health conditions that could put you at risk or affect the accuracy of the study.During surgery, there was a major problem with the zonules (tiny fibers in the eye).You have had a detached retina in the past.You have a condition called aniridia, which means you were born without an iris in your eye.You need to have surgery to remove a cataract and put in an artificial lens.You have a condition called amblyopia, which affects your eyesight.The surgeon believes it is not safe or beneficial to place a capsular ring in your eye if the capsule is torn too much.The patient has a condition that weakens or damages the zonules, which are tiny structures in the eye. This can be caused by Pseudoexfoliation Syndrome, Marfans Syndrome, trauma, or other conditions that affect the zonules.
