Who is the study for?
This trial is for young Black men who have sex with men (YBMSM) living with HIV. Participants should be willing to use the Amp mHealth app along with their standard HIV care and will be compared to those receiving only standard care.
What is being tested?
The study is testing the effectiveness of an mHealth app called Amp, designed to help manage HIV treatment outcomes. Over a period of 5 months, researchers will compare health measures between two groups: one using Amp plus standard care and another receiving just the standard care.
What are the potential side effects?
Since this trial involves an mHealth app rather than medication, traditional side effects are not applicable. However, participants may experience issues related to privacy concerns or stress from constant health monitoring.
