Effectiveness

How Junel Fe 1.5/30 Affects PatientsNorethisterone is a type of medication taken orally to prevent pregnancy or to treat other hormone-related conditions such as menopause and endometriosis. It works by affecting the hormones in the body that are involved with ovulation and the growth of the uterus lining. Taking norethisterone has been linked to a small increased risk of developing breast cancer, so patients should be aware of this and do regular self-exams to check for any developing masses.
How Junel Fe 1.5/30 works in the bodyNorethisterone works by binding to progesterone receptors in various parts of the body. It thickens cervical mucus to prevent sperm from entering the uterus, and makes the endometrium inhospitable for implantation. It also suppresses hormones like FSH and LH, preventing ovulation and corpus luteum development. When used in hormone replacement therapy in menopausal women, it prevents endometrial hyperplasia and thus lowers cancer risk. Norethisterone has a low affinity for other steroid receptors and can cause side effects like acne and changes in lipids.

I had a really terrible experience with Junel. I started experiencing extreme headaches, bleeding, sadness, and a total loss of interest in sex within the first two weeks.
