Summary

This trial tests if a card game called the Hello Game can help people with heart devices (ICDs) and their families talk about end-of-life choices. The game asks thoughtful questions to encourage these important conversations. The goal is to see if playing the game helps families make better plans for end-of-life care. Card games have been used for a long time to facilitate conversations about end-of-life care, showing high satisfaction and effectiveness in discussing sensitive topics.

  • End-stage disease
