Effectiveness
How Blisovi Fe 1/20 Affects Patients
Norethisterone is a medicine taken orally that is used for birth control or to treat hormonal issues such as menopause symptoms or endometriosis. It acts very similarly to the hormone progesterone, but more strongly. It affects the cervix and uterus, as well as hormones involved in the maturation of eggs and ovulation. Taking this medicine may slightly increase your risk of developing breast cancer. It is important to do regular self-exams to check for any lumps or masses.
How Blisovi Fe 1/20 works in the body
Norethisterone works by blocking sperm from entering a woman's uterus and making the uterine lining inhospitable to a fertilized egg. It also suppresses hormones associated with ovulation and follicular development. Women taking hormone replacement therapy may also use norethisterone to reduce their risk of endometrial cancer. Norethisterone does not have a strong effect on other hormones, but it does have a weak effect on androgen hormones, which may cause side effects like acne.
When to interrupt dosage
