Primatene Mist Toxicity & Overdose Risk

Epinephrine can cause serious side effects when taken in large doses. These include anxiety, headache, palpitations, necrosis at injection sites, heart attack, irregular heartbeat, cerebral hemorrhage, weakness, dizziness, nausea, and vomiting. In some cases, it can also cause high blood pressure, which can lead to angina, cardiac ischemia, or aortic rupture. Taking too much epinephrine can also cause pulmonary edema, renal vasoconstriction, and digital vasoconstriction. Pregnant women should only take epinephrine if it is absolutely necessary and it may delay the second stage
