Trial Summary
What is the purpose of this trial? This study will evaluate the feasibility of an app that provides drug information to people in recovery from opioid use disorder. This study is designed to test the prototype app, not to determine health outcomes. The study will confirm the design and operating specifications prior to being evaluated in a larger clinical trial.
Eligibility Criteria
This trial is for adults over 18 who are currently in an opioid treatment program and have been stable in their outpatient treatment for at least 4 weeks. Participants must be able to use the app on a smartphone or tablet. It's not for those unwilling to follow study rules, incarcerated individuals, pregnant women, or people with psychiatric or medical conditions that would hinder app usage.Treatment Details
The trial is testing the KIOS Informational App designed to support self-management of opioid use disorder. The focus is on assessing how well the app works technically and whether it meets design specifications before a larger clinical trial evaluates its impact on health outcomes.
